The book is “The boy in the striped pijamas”. It tells the innocence of a child of nine years, Bruno, with a very comfortable life who doesn’t know the world where you live. He changes from home for the work of his father. Bruno is very bored in his new house and one day he decides to explore the strange wire fence that he has seen from the window The child meets a jewish boy named Shmuel and they became very good Friends. Shmuel tells the terrible conditions of life in the concentration camp. Bruno just wants play and have friends.
Bruno is the main character in the story. He and his family move to Auschwitz concentration camp. Shmuel is jewish. He is thin and he has a shaved head
All in all, It shows how the nazis received a harsh punishment as happened to the family of Bruno. Nobody wins a war. Children haven’t a grudge if they are educated in an unhealthy environment. It is very important the value of friendship between the two protagonists (Bruno and Shmuel). A friendship without limits that unites them despite their religious differences and the situation of privilege and superiority of the nazis on the jews. It also demonstrates the silly of hate other people because their religion is different. Finally it is clear that we are all equal, also to die.
I liked it. I found it a pleasant and entertaining book but the end is very sad and I would change. I recommend reading
